The Jessica Fletchers seem
to have crawled right out of the novel and movie High Fidelity. It’s
all there: they’ve got the ironic, pop-culture-inspired name (Kathleen Turner
Overdrive, anyone?); their provenance is just obscure and exotic enough (they’re
from Oslo); and, most importantly, all their songs sound like Kinks covers.
